What is Microblading?
Though it may be new to you, microblading has been around for a long time – and it’s still popular because it’s still one of the best methods of adding shape, filler, and volume to your eyebrows. It’s a form of very fine tattooing, with lines that appear like tiny individual hair strokes inside your brows. It’s easy to see how this would help ladies with dark hair, but what if you’ve got extra-light blonde locks?
How Does Blonde Microblading Work?

Blonde microblades work just as well as any other colour, and they’re done the same way!
At Haven Beauty, the process always starts with a professional consultation with one of our estheticians. This is done either before the first appointment, or at the beginning of it.
This step is especially important, because it’s where we choose colours together with you, and you tell us what you want your new brows to look like when everything is done.
Once you pick a colour and brow shape you’re happy with, we’ll do an outline and a demo drawing. We’ll refine with you, every step of the way, and we won’t even start anything on your skin until you’re 100% satisfied and ready.
From there, it’s the same as any other hair colour would be. We apply a numbing cream, overlay the designs, and use the special microblading tool to deposit extra-fine lines of pigment below the epidermis. Like a tattoo, this whole process takes about 2-3 hours and requires a couple weeks of after-care. After that, you’ve got fantastically fabulous new brows that look super-natural (in the best possible way)!
What Microblade Colours Can Blondes Get?
The reason that blondes can get microblades, even with light hair, is because the best results happen when the chosen shade is slightly darker than natural hair. Of course, personal preference also plays a role and we’re happy to help you choose any shade worthy of the queen you are!
The most important choice is generally between a warmer or a cooler tone – from a light summery brown to a cooler ash or silver. We’ll be there to guide you every step of the way, accounting for skin tone and how much blending you can expect with your regular brow hair.
Is After-care for Blonde Microblades Different?
Regardless of whether your hair is as blonde as straw or dark as midnight, microblading after-care is the same. We will give you detailed instructions for proper care after your appointment is finished, but the steps can be summarized up easily:
Keep your brows clean and remove scabs as they come loose (don’t pick!)
Protect your brows from contamination and infection
Don’t use makeup, exfoliants, or other chemicals for a few weeks – stick to what we recommend
Avoid excessive sweating, sun exposure, saunas, saltwater, and long, hot showers for at least 2 weeks
